Chapter 2: Returning to the Source
The Outward Path, the Inward Return
The beginning and the end are the same, nothing has ever changed, nor will it ever. What we call the Source, or Reality, simply reflects itself.
In common terms, it is like watching a movie in a theater where actors play their roles exactly as scripted by the director. In this case, the director and scriptwriter is you—your true Self—who manifested this reality to experience a new role and script.
Remember the coffee shop analogy: while simply sipping coffee, your mind transposed you to New York. First, you experienced a fairytale-like setting in Central Park, and later, to experience more depth, you witnessed a high-stakes environment. Who is there to blame for this script (life/role you are playing)? You manifested both the light and the dark for yourself.
From this perspective, even the idea of a “journey back to the Source” is inherently flawed. No one has ever truly moved away from Reality. Rather, we have been dreaming—dreaming so deeply and continuously that, over countless lifetimes, we have forgotten that it is only a dream.
In this context, this chapter serves as an exploration of the origin of that first dream. By contemplating this, it becomes evident that there is no real beginning, no middle, and no end. There is no past, no present, no future. Everything simply is, and yet, in the same breath, it is nothing at all. Existence itself dissolves into non-existence!
How did this entire phenomena of creation Started? The fundamental nature of Reality is to express itself. Just as, it is the nature of the ocean to give rise to waves at the shore, so too does Reality appear as manifestation. The waves, however, do not define the ocean. The ocean, in its essence, remains vast, calm, and undisturbed. Waves have their own seeming nature — arising, oscillating, dissolving — continuously being created, destroyed, and merging back into their source. But at no point are they separate from the ocean itself. In the same way, all forms of existence are but expressions of that one Reality. They arise, appear to exist, and dissolve back into their origin, without ever truly departing from it. So, we begin here: not with creation as an event, but as an expression—a spontaneous appearance within that which has no beginning and no end.
Outward Journey – Reflective Reality creating finite worlds
At its origin, existence rests in the state of Absolute Reality—variously understood as Brahman, Void, Awareness, or Pure Consciousness. This primordial source began to contemplate and reflect upon it-self, driven by an innate urge to achieve deeper self-knowledge. This cosmic reflection gave rise to individualized Awareness, which sought to experience everything that remained “unknown.” Ultimately, this profound desire to explore the unseen propelled the process of evolution, serving as the source and origin of all life by fracturing the singular absolute into the vivid world of duality.

Reflective Reality
Stage 1: The Absolute / Pure Consciousness / Reality (Non-Dual)
This state is all-pervading, existing beyond both existence and non-existence; it is the only Truth.
Stage 2: Reflecting Reality / Consciousness
In an urge to know itself deeper, Reality began contemplating and reflecting upon itself. This marked the inception of the dream, drilling down from the Absolute (Awareness/Pure Consciousness) to reflections of what it desired to experience. This can also be understood as the inception of the Mind, which created finite objects and the scenarios where those objects play. If Christopher Nolan’s science-fiction film Inception comes to mind while reading this, trust that you are on the right path—that movie is a perfect visual representation of a dream within a dream.
We are all part of this reflective Reality until we liberate ourselves and experience the Truth. Reality is meant to be experienced by crossing the cobweb of dreams and unveiling the different dimensions you have traversed. This can absolutely be experienced in this lifetime if you are determined and possess a burning desire for liberation. This is the state where the Jivanmuktas (liberated souls) reside; they exist in perpetual bliss because, for them, no further dream remains.
Stage 3: The Prism of Thoughts
The Mind grew addicted to experiencing the “unknown.” This addiction created the Prism of Thoughts, which ultimately sparked the concept of creation—the power to bring into being anything it could conceive. All the while, Consciousness simply sat back, like someone in a coffee shop sipping a cortado, watching the Mind’s creation play out on a screen.
Because of this, what we call “creation” is merely a reflection. No one has actually moved. Through a continuous loop of thought, we imagined ourselves into exactly where we sit today.
SW (Seeking Wisdom): Shouldn't it be just as easy to simply stop reflecting and end the game right here?
WS (Wisdom Speaking): In a way, it is damn easy—if you can stop associating with who you think you are and transcend the level of the Mind. But for some baffling reason, we ourselves wanted this game to be a masterclass in complexity, which makes remembering the truth quite the uphill battle.
If it were that simple, you wouldn't be searching for this content, and I’d still be enjoying that cortado without feeling compelled to summarize this journey :). Instead, here we are, engaging in this intellectual exposition to figure out how to put this spacecraft into reverse.

The Role of Mind
The mind is a finite expression of Awareness or Consciousness. Once the mind is transcended, awareness returns to pure consciousness, entering the realm of the Absolute. However, when awareness operates through the mind, it functions as consciousness bound by the finite.

To simplify this concept, consider the following structural breakdown. A yellow ball of consciousness serves as the key focal point:
• Above the Focal Point: The realm of Reality / the Absolute (all-pervading).
• Below the Focal Point: The finite worlds and universes, created by a thought and channeled by Consciousness operating as the mind.

The Two Journeys:
• The Outward Journey: A downward descent, crossing from the realm of true Reality into reflective reality, falling below the yellow ball of consciousness and into the finite.
• The Inward Journey: A process of transcendence—an upward movement that crosses the threshold of the yellow ball of consciousness and returns to the Absolute.
