Absolute Liberation

Chapter 3: The Outward Path, the Inward Return

To grasp the full depth of the Outward Journey, one must understand the pivotal role played by the mind. This role is best illustrated by examining the sequential levels of consciousness through which the mind originally descended. To build this understanding from the ground up, we must first explore these Levels of Consciousness, which essentially serve as the platform where the mind operates. Every single one of our multiple lifetimes has run its course on this very platform. It plays a significant karmic role, heavily influencing how karma is generated and attached to us. Therefore, before we proceed any further, we will map out the baseline of the Levels of Consciousness.

Levels of Consciousness:

A very brief summary by Dr. David R. Hawkins on the Levels of Consciousness. He describes consciousness on a scale from 0 to 1000, reflecting human emotions and awareness.

Description of image

Lower levels (below ~200): Shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride
→ driven by survival, negativity, and ego

Turning point 200+: Courage
→ shift from victim mindset to empowerment, beginning of growth

Neutral 300–400: Stability, acceptance, understanding
→ more balanced, constructive thinking

Higher levels 400–500: Transition to love and connection

Advanced levels 500-600: Unconditional love, joy, peace
→ compassion, inner stability, and connection

Highest levels 600–700: Peace
→ higher awareness, inner stillness

700-800+: Enlightenment, pure consciousness, transcendence of ego

900-1000+: Constant state of Bliss, Jivanmukta (liberated while alive) → ready to merge with Absolute

In essence: it’s a progression from fear-based living → conscious growth → unconditional awareness → Absolute

I highly recommend reading Dr. David R. Hawkins’ book, Transcending the Levels of Consciousness: The Stairway to Enlightenment. It is an invaluable resource for honestly transcending low-frequency elements and discovering your true spiritual starting point. The diagram below serves as an excellent framework for self-reflection, mapping out the progression from physical and emotional limitation up to full enlightenment.

Please note that both diagrams on the levels of consciousness have been sourced from the web to help provide a clear, easy-to-understand visual aid for this journey.

Dialogue: The 3D Trap and the Soul's School

WS (Wisdom Speaking) is having a philosophical discussion with SW (Seeking Wisdom) regarding levels of consciousness.

WS: Earth is a predominantly “3D” planet. For an Earthling, their level of consciousness plays a crucial role in how they experience life.

SW: What exactly do you mean when you say Earth is a "3D" planet?

WS: When we say 3D, we are referring to a reality that is predominantly physical in nature. It is a dense realm composed of matter—solids, liquids, and gases—manifesting as landmasses, oceans, and atmosphere.
In a deeper sense, the third-dimension acts as a "trap box." Just as physical gravity binds your body to the ground, powerful metaphysical gravity pulls your consciousness downward if you attempt to escape it.
The primary emotional frequencies of this 3D matrix that form a descending ladder are: Pride, Anger, Desire, Fear, Grief, Apathy, Guilt, Shame. They are within a range of 3D (20-175) - refer to the diagram: map of consciousness.
Anyone who resonates purely within these dense, heavy frequencies will find themselves sinking deeper into the illusion. Within the 3D spectrum, only the top two frequencies—Neutrality and Willingness—offer a soothing, liberating energy that makes existence here sustainable.

From a practical perspective, Earth is designed as a rigorous school. It operates as a dense laboratory where the soul incarnates specifically to experience low-frequency dimensions. You might ask: Why would a soul willingly choose this?
It does so for the exact same reason any explorer ventures into the dark—out of a deep desire to experience the ultimate unknown. In its pursuit of that profound experience, the soul is willing to travel all the way to the absolute bottom of material density.

Connecting this back to the coffee shop analogy, you found yourself reflecting on a high-stakes, dense corporate meeting room and how quickly it became a "trap for sinking energy". In that space, life felt so suffocating and stressful that it finally compelled you to wake up and jump out of that reflection.
In a similar manner across various life terms the scope of experience broadened across vast stretches of time, driven by reality’s insatiable desire to experience more, see more, and become more – a journey that pushes outward to the absolute tipping point of existence.

Range 400+ As the levels of consciousness expanded, after experiencing the entirety of the "unknown" and exhausting all that creation has to offer, a profound shift occurs. Consciousness hits a wall of cosmic saturation and turns inward, realizing with a sudden, jarring bolt: "This is not me; I do not want to be this." This pivotal moment of disillusionment sparks an intense, urgent desire for liberation—a true Nirvana moment. This awakening serves as the ultimate stepping stone for Involution, initiating the sacred, conscious journey backward, collapsing duality, and returning home to the Source.

We are so accustomed to making everyday generalizations; it is a global conclusion that if you do good, you go to heaven, and if you do bad, you go to hell. But what truly are hell and heaven? Let us reflect upon that for a moment. Hell is the most pathetic, miserable life one can experience right here on Earth.

SW: What do you mean? Is Earth hell?

WS: In a way yes, if you happen to live your life at the bottom of the low-frequency spectrum. If the basic nature you live by resides in the Red and Amber zones, then yes—you live a pathetic life while being on Earth. As your frequency improves and you start treading toward the Yellow and Green zones, you begin living a sustainable life on Earth, one that is predominantly less discomforting. However, please recall that even the best of human lives involves suffering. Even the richest of the rich suffer—whether it is through health, emotions, physical pain, or mental anguish. No one escapes it.

SW: What is heaven then? Why should we do good deeds if everyone on Earth is destined to live a miserable life?

WS: Good question! We perform good deeds to either live a less discomforting life on Earth or to escape Earth—to move out of the trap of three-dimensional physics, to transition to higher-dimensional planets, which some people traditionally call "heaven."

SW: And what is a higher-dimensional planet?

WS: It is a space where life is not bound by the miseries of physical existence. It is a realm where a soul is not a dense body, but pure energy—a free form. It moves wherever it needs to go instantly; it does not require physical transportation to travel. That is the state closest to our natural form of free will. In that realm, you do not have to laboriously create anything; you simply think it, and it manifests. It is no surprise that those who are unaware call this place "heaven." But in truth, it is not heaven; it is merely a resting place to live in peace and harmony for a time being. True heaven is the Absolute, Reality, the stillness, where nothingness exists.

Concise Summary: The Physical and Painful Reality of Being on Earth

Earth is a three-dimensional planet where everything is physical—where you can touch and feel. Essentially, a spirit that was once a free-flowing, free-willed entity has mistakenly trapped itself into a 3D world and subsequently forgotten where it came from.
The key to the door is lost, but we must find a way out because the 3D world is suffocating. Haven’t you always disliked boundaries? Haven’t you always wanted to roam around freely? You have always desired this because it was your basic nature—a reality of free will. Yet, dream after dream that you manifested, you blocked yourself into the third dimension.
To survive on Earth, you need a body (a vehicle) to carry yourself. This is not required on any other dimensional planet, and, of course, the Absolute Reality is entirely bodiless.

Dialogue: The Illusion of the Body and the Way Out

SW: What is the problem with having a body? Isn’t it entirely natural to possess one?

WS: The body is merely a mass of flesh, blood, fat, arteries, hair, and waste. It is a prison cell assigned to penalize your past misdeeds. Why do you assume it is natural? It only feels natural because you were born with it—and you were born with it because your past karma destined you to this earthly existence.

The body is a trap designed to restrict your true nature and punish you every second, forcing you to endure the inescapable cycles of birth, growth, disease, decay, and death. From infancy to old age, human beings are constantly suffering and complaining because they mistakenly identify with this physical form.

In reality, you are neither the body, the mind, nor the intellect. But for now, let us focus purely on the body. Our association with the physical form is intense; the moment anything happens to it, we plunge ourselves into suffering. Everything tied to the body becomes "I"—but that "I" is the ego, not the true Self.

When the body requires repair or healing, we grieve over disease, asking, "Why me?" But are you the body? No, you are not this body—you are simply in it. The pain that occurs happens to the physical vessel, not to you. The moment you disassociate from this 3D physical trap, you step out of suffering. Great sages have emphasized this truth in ancient scriptures: if the body gets hurt, it is only the body that suffers. No one can touch the true Self, for it is entirely intangible.

The best way to view the body is to think of it as a car. When a vehicle breaks down, you simply change the oil or fix the wires or engine; the driver doesn't weep in pain for the metal frame. That is the ultimate way to reflect on your own physical form. The very first step is to detach yourself from the physical senses and stop identifying as the body. Once you master this detachment while living on Earth—and later extend it to the mind and intellect—you clear the path. This transformation requires a sacred spiritual journey: an intense, inward, and ardent practice of meditation and elevation.

Through this, you gain the potential to either move to a higher-dimensional planet or directly to the Absolute. Your destination is based on what you want:
• Gradual liberation, which is movement to a higher-dimensional planet; or
• Total liberation, which is the Absolute!

Inward Journey - Journey back to Source: Upward Triangle

The catalyst for this inward journey requires profound refinement of the individual soul. As the outward expansion reaches its limit, the soul begins to transcend the dense, survival-driven mechanics of the earthly 3D element. This shift is signaled when the individual starts operating predominantly from a place of unconditional love (Level of consciousness 500+) —a high-vibrational state that untethers consciousness from egoic attachments, judgment, and material duality. By anchoring itself in this unconditional grace, the soul demonstrates that it has mastered the lessons of the physical plane, effectively proving that it is ready, refined, and actively preparing for its ultimate exit back toward the Source.
